Ludlow Police are appealing for anyone who might have had copper wire stolen recently to come forward.
Officers recovered a number of circular tubes of the metal cable when two men were arrested on suspicion of theft in December.
The two have been interviewed and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Though a number of attempts have been made to find the owner of the wire, which police believe may have been stolen, so far the the owner has not been identified.
Detective Constable Joe Jordan has appealed for anyone who might have had such wiring go missing before December 12 to contact him on 08457 444888.
He said: “Two males were arrested in Ludlow before Christmas on suspicion of theft and a large quantity of copper cable was recovered at the time.
“If anyone believes the items might belong to them, I would ask them to please get in touch with Ludlow CID.”
