The Welsh Enduro teams have flown out to Greece to take part in the International Six-Day Enduro.
Welsh team members and their managers met at the late Kenny Williams’s Yard just outside Llandrindod Wells to load all their equipment into a container truck, which left for Greece on Friday morning The lorry was driven by local drivers Geraint Short and Gwyn Probert.
The riders and their helpers left by aeroplane on Sunday. They will have a chance to practise and make sure everything is in order before starting the event on Monday.
The team members are – Team A: Andrew Edwards from Wrexham, Tim Foreman from Llanidloes and John Hinman from Llancarfan; Team B: Craig Bounds from Edwardsville, Dave Brick from Knighton and Gethin Price from Hundred House.
The team manager is Gemma Williams and assistant manager Mike Davies, who are both from Llandrindod Wells.
The event is being held in Greece for the first time. There will be more than 450 riders from 35 countries competiting in the mountain region of Serres.
Gemma Williams said: “I would like to thank all the sponsors who have made it possible for the riders to take part”.
David Vaughan from Knighton, chairman of the Welsh Federation of the Enduro committee, met all the riders to wish them success in Greece.
