Newbridge manager Kevin Price has hinted there could be changes tomorrow (Saturday) when the Villagers host Llanfyllin Town in the Spar Mid Wales League.
Price missed much of Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Penparcau after being involved in a road traffic accident on the way to the game.
But with Christian Jones back following a one-match ban and Johnny Samuel and Gareth Davies also available, Price has a selection problem of the right kind.
And Newbridge will settle for nothing less than three points tomorrow against a side currently propping up the remainder of the table.
Successive wins have seen Presteigne relaunch their season and they welcome Penparcau to Llanandras Park tomorrow.
Assistant manager Tom Ammonds feels the Spar Mid Wales League is very competitive this season, with several teams capable of beating one another, and Presteigne will be looking for the spoils to climb the table.
And Presteigne are given a timely boost, with Chris Jones expected to return after netting twice for the Reserves last week. Sam Pearson is also back in contention, but Lee Sutton is a doubt owing to work commitments.
Meanwhile a change in fixture now sees Rhayader Town at home against The New Saints Reserves.
Player-manager Dylan McPhee admitted he read nothing into Saturday’s FAW Trophy defeat with a makeshift side, but Rhayader again have injury problems tomorrow.
McPhee himself, Rhys Tomas and brothers Ben and Gareth Jones are all ruled out. Ed Jones will don the keeper’s jersey ,while Andrew Evans is again included in the squad following a substitute appearance in midweek.

Penybont’s summer signings look as if they are beginning to gel and Emrys Goodwin’s side are chasing a fourth straight win tomorrow (Saturday) when they welcome Builth Wells to the Racecourse in the Watson Associates Mid Wales League (South).
Those three previous wins have seen Penybont maintain a clean sheet on each occasion but they are without keeper Barry Evans tomorrow.
Bjorn Dyer is also unavailable but midfielder Edryd Lewis returns, while Dave Barlow might have to wear the keeper’s jersey.
Builth, who pushed leaders Hay St Marys all the way last week in what was their best performance of the season, are without the suspended Kevin Lewis, but Stuart Jones could return from injury.
Hay St Marys should, at least temporarily, open up a five-point lead at the top when they kick off the weekend’s action at home against Penybont Athletic tonight (Friday).
Goalkeeper Bryan Kirkham is still sidelined but midfielder Rob Sneddon could return.
But Gwernyfed will be keen to keep pace tomorrow when they entertain Knigh-ton Town, who themselves notched up a welcome three points at St Harmon last week.
Gwernyfed player-manager Gavin Perry again expects to be at full strength as his team aim to continue their excellent start.
Llandrindod and Rhosgoch are looking to keep the pressure on the top two, with both away from home tomorrow. Llandrindod, who are expecting to complete the transfer of Will Green from Newbridge, visit St Harmon, while Rhosgoch, on paper, have the more difficult task when they travel to Sennybridge’s Riverside.
After four straight wins, Sennybridge secretary Arnold Prosser said: “It’s a chance for us to see how far we have come this week-end” as the South Powys side also meet Llandrindod Wells in the Aspidistra Radnorshire Cup on Sunday.
The Spa will be hoping the influential John Foster recovers from hamstring trouble that forced him off in Saturday’s FAW Trophy defeat.
Goal-shy Newcastle host Presteigne Reserves, with John Goodridge remaining optimistic despite just four goals in seven league games.
Dave Exall returns from holiday but the Shropshire side have injury doubts over Rob Davies and Phil Monk, who both collected knocks against Gwernyfed last time out.
Presteigne are well placed in the league table with just one defeat in their last six.
In-form Llandrindod Wells Colts can make it four wins in a row when they take on bottom of the table Newbridge Reserves, while Radnor Valley are targeting three points at Builth Wednesdays.
Player-manager, Bobby Morgan welcomes back Terry Jones, Julian Bufton, David Stephens and Steve White, but Will Lloyd is suspended, while Paul Morgan has rejoined Kington Town.
