Ludlow has the best food and the best Food Festival and won two tourism “Oscars” this week just to reinforce the point.
The Excellence in Tourism Awards are organised by Tourism West Midlands and Advantage West Midlands and each gold winner is presented with a handcrafted Wedgwood trophy.
The winners of the 2008 Awards included the Taste of the Heart award won by Ludlow Food Centre. The Ludlow Food Festival won an award for being the best food and drink attraction
Gold award winners will now go forward to the national final next April, where they will compete against other regional winners from across England.
