Did you see this brawl at the hall?

Police are appealing for witnesses to a brawl at the Onibury Village Hall which resulted in a man being taken to hospital with a broken leg and two others being arrested.

The investigating officer, PC Lynne Edwards, said the disturbance broke out at around 12.15am last Saturday at the end of a social function in the hall.

It involved a number of people and, initially, a confrontation involving the injured man and one or two other men, took place in the car park outside the front entrance. The fight then continued inside the foyer before spilling outside again.

PC Edwards said anyone who saw this incident, and in particular the confrontation between the men should contact her at Craven Arms police station or leave a message at Ludlow police station. The number is 0300 333 3000.

She said: “Several people have already come forward to assist with the inquiry but there was a large crowd at the function and people driving off from the car park or waiting for lifts, may have seen the altercation.”

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail, pending further inquiries.
