Newbridge hopes for third time lucky

Dave Exall’s Rhayader debut is again put on hold as he was not signed 14 days before the conference date, while Mark Davies could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines following an injury in the Boxing Day derby at Newbridge.

Kevin Martin, Andrew Evans and Rhys Thomas are also ruled but Chris Murphy and Tom Rokos-zewski could return for the Weirglodd men.

Builth Wells, Hay St Marys and Llandrindod Wells carry the hopes of the Watson Associates Mid Wales League (South) in the Cup and have been handed contrasting fortunes in the draw.

Llandrindod have landed a plum tie when they host Penrhyncoch whose Cymru Alliance standing make them one of the cup favourites.

Builth visit Bont, who are mid-table in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League first division. Builth, who eased past Trefonen in the second round, again have a doubt over midfielder  Josh Holdaway for a tie thay are well capable of winning.  Hay are at home against Lampeter Town, and chairman Martin Tong is quietly confident the Forest Road side can make it to the last 16 having watched the Costcutters Ceredigion League side in a recent Emrys Morgan Cup tie at Rhosgoch.
