The walk is a 26-mile route, starting from Wistanstow Village Hall, and taking competitors to Clun and Bishop’s Castle.Breakfast is provided at the start of the event and food is also offered at the two main checkpoints and at the end of the event. Organiser and firefighter Phil Clarke said anyone who wanted to walk 12 or 18 miles of the course would be given a lift back to Wistanstow Village Hall. Last year, the winning time was Adrian Donnelly in five hours , 20 minutes, and the fastest woman (in five hours and 59 minutes) was All Stretton’s Alison Hartshorne.
