School honours students’ achievements

November 17 was a day of great celebration at Tenbury High School as the recently departed Year 11 students were presented with their examination certificates at the annual Graduation Ceremony.

The class of 2009 did exceptionally well, with 78 per cent of the students gaining five or more Higher level (A*- C) passes – a new record for the High School!

Now, it has been revealed, 88 per cent of the students have gone on to further education at local sixth forms.

At the graduation ceremony, headteacher Stuart Cooke paid tribute to the students, parents and staff for the part they played in achieving such outstanding results, which exceeded targets and predictions by a wide margin.
