ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour continues to be a priority for Ludlow’s Local Policing Team, with advice letters being delivered to the parents of youths causing problems and work underway to issue to town’s first Anti Social Behaviour Contract.
Increased high visibility patrols are also being carried out in areas where most of the problems have been reported, such as Parkway, with a distinct drop in the number of calls as a result.
“In December, 13 advisory letters were sent to the parents of those involved in anti-social behaviour and so far in January, a further five letters have been sent out, including one of the most serious Level One letters,” said Constable Sara Perry, a member of the local policing team.
“The letters ensure that the parents of the youths causing problems are aware of what their children have been getting up to and asking them to work with us to prevent any repeat of such behaviour.
“If this action has no effect, police will then look to have Acceptable Behaviour Contracts drawn up for persistent trouble-makers, with one already in the process of being finalised,” she added.
