THE Shropshire councillor for the Clee division has been summoned to appear before the Adjudications Panel — the local government disciplinary body – for allegedly breaching the code of conduct.
Paul Andrews, a Conservative, won the Clee seat in June 2009 and was a newcomer to the council. He is due to attend the tribunal hearing in Shrewsbury on April 26.
A panel spokesman declined to disclose what the allegations were about.
Councillor Andrews, who lives near Culmington, confirmed that would be the subject of a hearing on April 26.
“I intend to dispute the allegation against me and until the matter is concluded I will not be making any further comment,” he said yesterday.
