SHROPSHIRE Council looks set to go for a zero increase in the Council Tax for South Shropshire despite the fact that councillors need to find £7million in savings for 2010/ 2011.
An increase in car park season tickets in Ludlow and Church Stretton is likely but plans to increase the price of Meals on Wheels were scrapped prior to yesterday’s full council meeting to decide the budget.
Spending on improving insulation at Lacon Childe and Clee Hill Primary, and various energy improvements at Bishop’s Castle Community College and Church Stretton School and Leisure Centre is likely to go ahead.
