As a result of a series of indoor sporting activities at the Severn Arms in Penybont over recent weeks, the grand sum of £1,653.58 has been raised as the pub’s annual charity effort which this year has been donated to the British Heart Foundation.
The activities included events such as dominoes, darts and a quiz night.
Landlord Drew Owen is seen presenting the proceeds to Jane Lewis, fundraising volunteer manager of the British Heart Foundation, watched by some of the people who helped raise the money.
They include Ray Price and Lynda Price who organised a mixed darts night, Gertie Middleton who organised the late Ken Middleton dominoes tournament, Bill Brown who organised the Freddy Brown dominoes evening, and Izabela Kurzawa who organised the quiz competition.
Also in the photograph are Ffion and Dylan Owen, the landlord’s children.
