More than 100 juniors packed into Kington Golf Club on Saturday for the Junior Open incorporating the Abu Dhabi Championships in association with The Daily Telegraph.
There were entries from over 20 clubs from all over England and Wales and one from Malaysia.
The Girls Medal and Telegraph winner was Samantha Deacon from Patshull Park who shot an 84. Welshpool’s Sadie Davies (89) was runner-up, with Bryany James (91) from Aberystwyth in third spot.
Girls Stableford Winner was Polly Horton from Burghill with 44 points.
The overall Stableford winner was Jack Harris, another Burghill golfer, with 48 points, who came in ahead of runner up Ben Redfern of Kington with 41 points and Rees Evans from St Giles with 40 points.

The overall Medal and Telegraph winner with 72 was Llandrindod’s Jack Esworthy, who held off the challenge of second placed Harry Bowen (75) of Welshpool and Theo Cook (76) from Burghill.

11 year olds: 1st Kieran Jones (Kington), 2nd Liam Tomkins (Kington).
Over-12s: 1st Jimmy Smith (Kington), 2nd Stephen Abberley (Kington).
