Newbridge-on-Wye’s 50th annual show went very well with good numbers of spectators and entries in competitions.
The show took place last Wednesday on Berthllwyd Farm, organised by Newbridge and District Agricultural Society.

Secretary of the show, Tim Wilkinson said: “The show went very well indeed.
“We had good numbers of visitors and the sun shone. It rained in the morning when we were setting up but then the sun came out.
“There was a very good vintage machinery display and the sheep entries were considerably up on last year but the pony numbers were down and there was a poor show for the gymkhana.”
The highlights of the show included sheep and horse classes, a gymkhana, a vintage machinery display, children’s sports and five-a-side football.
In the marquee there were classes for quality crafts, cookery and produce.
