Newbridge will be keen to return to action tomorrow when they are due to visit Carno in the Spar Mid Wales League First Division.
The Villagers, more than most, have been frustrated by an enforced two-week break, as they still have 14 league games to play and face a heavy end of season programme.
Tomorrow’s opponents moved level on points with Newbridge following their 4-0 win at Welshpool Town last week, but have played four more games.
Newbridge joint manager Kevin Price expects a tough game, as the home fixture saw a Sam McCoy strike earn them a narrow 1-0 success.
Price and Matt Hooper can welcome Dean Clarke and Lee Ferneyhough back from injury but Ewan Jones and Tom Barr are out while goalkeeper Rhys Hughes is on a course and unlikely to play.
Tom Brown has completed a move from local rivals Builth Wells and goes straight into the squad, while Newbridge have also served seven days’ notice on Rhayader Town defender Neil Walmsley.
Price said: “We have some tough games coming up with six of our next seven away from home. Our next three are away at Carno, Rhayader and Montgomer,y so our season really hinges on the next three weeks.”
In Division Two, Llandrindod Wells will look to maintain their challenge for promotion when Llanfyllin Town visit the Broadway.
Llandrindod, like Newbridge, still have 14 games to play in the league and are still involved in both of the Spar League Cups.
But the Spa have a strong looking squad and tomorrow will be seeking a fifth straight league win since their defeat at Aberaeron over Christmas.
Presteigne face a difficult looking trip to title contenders Aberaeron while Talgarth Town, who have won four of their last five, find themselves without a game due to the revised fixtures. Rhosgoch will try again to play their Central Wales Cup fourth round tie when First Division Berriew visit Crow Lane.
Knighton Town’s outstanding tie at Llanidloes Town is likely to be played in midweek.
